I had been ready to move to a new location for quite a while, but it took several years until the right office appeared.
When I first saw this office, asphalt surrounded the building. I immediately knew I didn’t want to work with such “stagnation” surrounding the office. I called my dear friend, Susan, and expert gardener, Martin, and we began the process of designing and installing the garden for the front of the office.
Pulling up the asphalt and bringing in truckloads of dirt was very exciting! There was a moment we were standing in front of the freshly placed dirt, and I found myself “listening” to the energy of the garden. I turned to Martin and said, “We need to have three mounds and we need boulders in each mound to hold the energy.” Off we went to American Soil Products in Richmond, searching through their fields of boulders for just the right ones.
The next morning, very early at 6:00 AM, we were off to a wholesale nursery. It was a cold foggy morning and there were acres of plants to choose from. I knew I wanted a Persimmon tree in one of the mounds; for the Persimmon tree was the only tree left standing after the atomic bomb had been dropped on Hiroshima. I participated in the making of the homeopathic remedy of Persimmon and experienced how it was about destruction, tragedy, death and rebirth. I thought the energy of that symbolism would be important to people who are coming to the office with their illnesses and their hope for healing.
During the time I was looking for my new office, I had quite a bit of time to develop a clear image of how I wanted the interior of the office to look and feel. I chose colors for their specific energy of healing and light. I love art and framed original pieces: many that my mother had painted; some my acupuncture mentor, Dr. Tseng, had painted in classical Chinese watercolor style; and others from friends of years ago.
My entire focus was to create a place of soft vibrations, of healing energy, where people can come and heal their physical pain as well as their inner pains and traumas. Where the stagnation is dispersed and the energy is encouraged to flow freely. In recognition of this move, I added a few words to the name of my business; it is now called “The Center for Natural Health Care and Healing.”
Welcome to my office and my practice! See for yourself if my intention and dreams have been realized. ![]()
